Sometimes I Teach
Teaching and mentoring has always been something I’ve been passionate about. Right from the time I started my first business running tap dancing and percussion classes at the ripe old age of 14. Today I’m the Owner, Founder and Director of Melbourne Young Writers’ Studio, a leading creative writing school based in Fitzroy North. Our beautiful studio hosts classes for around 150 – 200 young and emerging writers every week. We also run many special programs, including publishing programs, and are always on the lookout to create new opportunities for young writers. In addition to guiding and directing Melbourne Young Writers’ Studio and teaching young writers, I also have extensive experience teaching and mentoring emerging adult writers. Currently, I teach Writing TV and Writing for Children’s Television courses at RMIT University. Part of the Advanced Diploma of Professional Screenwriting. I have also been a mentor in the Masters of Screenwriting program at The Victorian College of the Arts and taught related subjects at JMC Academy and Victoria University.
